Via our chapter program, we provide resources and training to student leaders so that they are able to create successful programs on their campuses. Our chapters advocate for new campus polices, lead mutual aid efforts, and host SNAP enrollment events.
Our 5 student-led State Coalitions conduct research on issues facing student in their states, draft legislation, and communicate students' needs to lawmakers. They have successfully introduced legislation in Tennessee and West Virginia.
We aim to contribute to higher education research, so that we can ensure our programming is meeting current student needs. Our current research priority is to assess the impact and perceptions of various campus policies surrounding student basic needs.
Student Leader Statement
We recently launched a statement on college student eligibility for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). Our goal is to build a coalition of student leaders advocating for increased access to SNAP.
